Fashion in the 60s

The fashion were so diverse and they broke many traditional fashion rules. It even were influenced by the space exploration and moon landing. The focus was on the colors and different tones therefore there were not very much focus on accessories. The femininity were thrown away and you could see women wearing the same clothes as the men. Clothes in the 60s

The clothing were so different and diverse. More patterns, fabrics and styles were invented with a lot of colors. The hippies is the first thing you maybe think about when someone mentions the 60s. With their loose-fitting clothes, many colors and positive personality and style. The mods (mod is for modern) were those days goths, but with a bit more modern and simple look. The mods wore black clothes, sometimes with brave patterns, and black eyeliner. Mods often had a meaning with what they wore, what they said and so on, they were very rebellious. Like the hippies they told something with their style and whatever they wore had a meaning or a symbol.

Geometric

Geometric patterns were a big thing in the 60s, clothes were made with patterns that had squares, circles and triangles on it.

PVC

PVC is a plastic-like fabric. It were in every bright color in the world and every geometric pattern possible. In the early 60s only the rich people could afford the plastic like fabrics, when they were just invented.

Paisley

Hair in the 60s

The hairstyles were so different in the 60s.There were long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair, downwards hair andair, short hair, curly hair, The beehive is maybe the most familiar hairstyle among the 60s hairstyles. It's easy to see why it's called beehive, but don't laugh, people even do this now. Beyonce for example, under, with a basic beehive.

Make-up in the 60s

Twiggy is easy to recognize, with her big eyes, fake wiplashes and black eyeliner around the whole eyes. The makeup in the 60s were so strong and sometimes exaggerated in comparison to todays makeup. Women used eyeliner in every color possible, green, blue, yellow, purple, pink, red and so on.
